Students Category: This category includes vocational high schools and universities (associate degree, undergraduate, graduate and doctorate) such as tourism, gastronomy, food and beverage, food technology, tourist guidance, hotel management, etc. It is open to the participation of students/trainees aged 14 and over who are registered in gastronomy, cookery and food and beverage branches of public education centers, maturation institutes and private education institutions.
General Category: This category is open to the participation of people aged 17 and over.
NOTE: Photos submitted to the Students and General categories must be specific to the geography of Anatolia (including the Thrace region).
The Cyprus Cuisine Category is an independent “Special Category” within the competition.
- This special category is open to participants in both main categories (General and Students).
- After submitting an application to one of the main categories (General or Students), a participant may also—if they wish (independently of the main-category application)—apply to the Cyprus Cuisine Category with a different food photograph.
- The Cyprus Cuisine Category is concluded through a separate jury evaluation, separate ranking, and separate awarding process, independent of the main categories.
- Works submitted to the General or Students main categories cannot be submitted to the Cyprus Cuisine Category as the same work; submitting a separate (different) work for the Cyprus category is mandatory.
