How to reach the City of Cartagena

HOW TO GET TO CARTAGENA

The best way to access Cartagena is by flying to one of the two closest airports:

Murcia – San Javier (MJV) and Alicante – El Altet (ALC).

MURCIA-SAN JAVIER AIRPORT is a small domestic airport about 20 minutes by car from Cartagena, with regular flights from Madrid and Barcelona, and some cities across Europe:

A TAXI is the easiest way to get from this airport to Cartagena (distance: 32 km. / price: about 30-35 €)

 

ALICANTE-EL ALTET AIRPORT is the closest international airport, about 1h 10 min by car from Cartagena, with regular flights from Madrid and Barcelona, and also from several cities across Europe.

A TAXI is also the easiest way to get from the airport to Cartagena (distance: 100 km. / price: about 130-145 €)

 

IMPORTANT: Organization will provide BUS TRANSFER for 17 euros (one-way) from these two airports on days 5th and 6th of June 2017 to the city of Cartagena. IF YOU NEED BUS TRANSFER from any of these two airports, PLEASE CONTACT ORGANIZATION ON firdevs@kartacatour.com. Bus transfer will departure from Alicante airport and then will pick up people from San Javier-Murcia Airport at the following hours:

 

On 5th of June we have organised 3 departures at 13h-17h-20:30h.

On 6th of June we have organised 3 departures at 12h-16h-20h.

 

You will pay the fare in cash upon your arrival at the conference desk.

 

COMING FROM MADRID OR BARCELONA

Should you have to fly to Madrid or Barcelona and wish to take a train to Cartagena, you will need to check the following website in order to get a ticket.

Duration of the journey: about 4 h. 30 m.

The railway station is located in the city centre of Cartagena, with easy access to hotels and Campus of the Business Faculty where the Conferences take place.
